Culture and Values

As a growing organization, we continue to hold the same values that have made us successful since our inception.

Our team is driven and encouraged to seek opportunities that add value to our customers. We work together to conduct our business safely, honestly, and with integrity and trust. Our management team is always accessible and open to hearing new ideas and suggestions on how we can do better. Keyera conducts an employee engagement survey every three years to gather employee feedback on our strengths and areas for improvement.


We have fostered a culture that meets business needs while addressing the needs of our employees and the communities where we operate.

At Keyera, a respectful work environment is an expectation and priority. We are commited to behaving with integrity and honesty, treating people fairly, respecting diversity, accepting accountability and communicating openly.

As part of this commitment, Keyera has a company-wide Workplace Discrimination, Harassment and Violence Policy. We do not tolerate discrimination, including discrimination on the basis of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, gender identity, gender expression, physical disability, mental disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status or sexual orientation.

Keyera is committed to addressing and resolving grievances and allegations of discrimination or harassment in a prompt, confidential and respectful manner. Employees are encouraged to report any incidents to their supervisor or Human Resources, and we also offer a confidential, anonymous reporting hotline, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To us, a respectful workplace also means being an employer of choice and ensuring we provide our employees with well-rounded compensation  (including commitment to fair living wage for all employees), as well as offering learning and development opportunities to help our team grow and develop.


Keyera respects our employees’ right to freedom of association and their right to join or form labour unions. Across our operations, Keyera has collective agreements with four unions, representing approximately 12 percent of our workforce. We are committed to constructive dialogue with freely chosen union representatives. To date, Keyera has never experienced a labour-related work stoppage at any of our facilities.
