The power of connection is key to building a brighter future

Through our social investment program, Keyera Connects, we partner with organizations and support causes that strengthen the environment, advance Indigenous reconciliation and build resiliency in the communities in which we are a part.

Connecting energy for life means you can count on us to deliver more than just energy. We’re committed to making positive, lasting change in the areas we operate and the communities our people call home.

Keyera Connects KAPS Partnership Spotlights

  • NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology)

We recently announced a unique partnership with NAIT, creating a "first of its kind" program focused on helping build careers in the energy sector for Indigenous participants.  Through a collaborative effort, this opportunity will establish a custom education and training program for 10-12 career-oriented students that includes flexibility and additional supports to ensure students' success.

  • Inside Education

We renewed our partnership with Inside Education, Alberta’s largest environmental and natural resource education charity, to help support the education and empowerment of youth living in communities along the KAPS pipeline route.  Together, we're supporting the next generation of energy innovators in learning about balanced, sustainable futures for our environment, economy, the energy industry, and society.

  • Project Forest

By renewing our partnership with Project Forest, we're replanting and rewilding the Wagner Natural Area, located near Acheson, AB close to our KAPS right of way. Together, we're investing in conserving our ecosystems for future generations and preserving the natural landscapes we call home.

Strong partnerships fuel lasting change

By building relationships with those who care about the same things we do, we can understand the needs of communities and connect strengths and expertise to make a difference not just today, but long into the future.

At this time, we are no longer taking any further submissions in 2024 for Keyera Connects. Please check back again in 2025. If you have any other questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Our people in the community

We support causes our employees care about through our employee community care days and United Way employee matching program:

  • Employee Community Care Days: Keyera offers two paid days each year for employees to support organizations or causes they are most passionate about. That could be volunteering in their kid’s classroom, supporting a food bank, cleaning up a local park, and much more. In 2023, Keyera employees donated over 9,100 hours serving their local communities.
  • United Way employee matching: Each year, our employees come together in support of the United Way and the many opportunities it supports. To help double the impact, we match employee donations. In total, Keyera and our employees have invested nearly $8 million to help build community resiliency and improve local lives.
